Bleeding Tear
If a tear starts bleeding in your eye
Spreading slowly like an opened wound,
Close your eyes to heal it dry.
If a tear heavies on the rim of your eye
Trembling like feet about to jump off,
Face the wind to blow it West.
If you're too weak and let a tear drop
Like a leak from a cracked dam,
Wipe it quickly, ever so quickly!
If betraying tears stream down
And suddenly you bear wet palms,
Cup your hands to break their fall.
If tears have flooded your eyes
And you know you’re slowly drowning,
Crumble on to rebuild anew.
If you've crumbled to an army of tears
Surrendered to another battle,
Stand tall for tomorrow's victory.
