Ragged Dolls
I play with us inside my mind
I dress myself in a fine dress
One you never saw me wear
I comb my hair and pin it up
I bring us face to face
And make each other speak
Saying things we didn’t get to
And bring us closer for a kiss
Fate has also plaid with us
It has handed me the dress
And neatly folded your collar
Making us kiss goodbye
Until playtime became dull
And it let go of our waists
Ruining my dolled-up hair.
What has since become of you?
